- photographing peace , isolated places in a/the city , photographing people being distant to each other (street photography?), Photographying during early morning with no people included ; photographing landscapes. = 1) photographing people being distant to each other (street photography?) in isolated places 2) starting to include people in my pix but rather showing them being distant to each other 3) photographing isolation/alienation in different suburbs of Auckland region, and not only in Auckland CBD 4) photographing isolation/isolated places in countryside, or in parks AND, to where it would lead: - showing solitude in places where we live or naviguate

The journey of my work throughout the seminar 2 (term 4)

15 October= (on my walls) - Used the whole wall from top to bottom - Kept using different scale/sizes of images - Cropped my pix when possible, in order to remove distractions - Removed repetition - Dont shoot more, just my pix so far made , the one from previous weeks and terms , and look for connection between them as long as we can't tell it was from the same location = as if theres one pic from each location (even its not true but as least you can't tell it was shot in the same location. Wandering as meditation Kayla Linda Kasarherou BFA Hons Photo Media 34 Inkjet prints Various sizes 2024 Everyone can meditate. Waiting at a bus stop, in a small and quiet room, or during breaks. Meditation is known to make people more self-aware, focusing on the present, improving their mental and emotional health. It is accessible anywhere, to the point that meditation can be linked to wandering. That is, to wider explorations via walking. Meditation is where people do not know how to start, how to go about it, but as they start walking that is, meditating, they come to realise deeper meaning of their practice, and they feel enriched at the end. Wandering as meditation explores busyness and tranquility in the city. Going to different places without knowing where you are going leads to a place of being lost but at the same time being happy to get lost in order to be present.
