The journey of my work throughout the seminar 2 (term 4)

15 October= (on my walls) - Used the whole wall from top to bottom - Kept using different scale/sizes of images - Cropped my pix when possible, in order to remove distractions - Removed repetition - Dont shoot more, just my pix so far made , the one from previous weeks and terms , and look for connection between them as long as we can't tell it was from the same location = as if theres one pic from each location (even its not true but as least you can't tell it was shot in the same location. My priority from now onwards= my writing for the draft which is due next tuesday - Show more of greenery , with leaves and flowers (from my last seminar and pix ) on my walls , its lacking 22 October= - After the meeting next tue 29, contact Yoon to test out the types of paper like glossy or matte. 28 October= - Measure up the walls from my space of end of year exhibition = done - Put the photos on the 2 facing walls in my studio space = (nearly) done - Then decide what's lacking = done - Do one more shoot for next week = add pix of busyness, too much pix of calmness for now - Make the photos bigger for some - Begin to write my artist statement - Make the pix of house and the grass , warmer , less cool, by editing 4 November= (at home)= - write my artist statement - re-write my research summary for the meeting with Anton - plan on the pix i took of my space with the photos on the wall, which pix would be bigger (on campus)= - print out my artist statement and my draft of research summary - print out bigger scale for my chosen pix - add new pix of busyness to my layout on the wall Things to put in my research summary for end of year = - How my acts of meditation (with my friend, Jiawei) led to wider explorations of the city via walking. 15 November= - Sent 4 photos to Yoon, in order to test out glossy and matte on these photos. So I can choose which one would be the best for my presentation on the wall. - Received the 4 pix in glossy and matte: I really like how the glossy looks on the pix as it looks nicer and the colors are more vibrant, than matte which makes my pix looks flat, especially the black part on each photo. I was hesitant due to the fact that we could see our reflection on the glossy pictures. - I was in doubt so I came to see Yoon and he suggested that the glossy looks better for the colors and that it doesn't matter that we see a it of reflection as it depends on how many lights they are in the space where my work will be installed. Yoon told me that when we go to see works of art we don't pay attention on if we see reflection but on how the work/photographs looks. Therefore, I chose to follow his advice and I decided to print in glossy all my 34 pictures for my end of year exhibition. 18 November= - Print all my pictures in glossy , files to send on monday 18 nov 2024 to Yoon.
